I Will Praise You in This Storm!

The storms of life are often overbearing and hard to handle. They come at us in every shape and size. Since their duration is not immediately known, we don't know how to adequately prepare. Their intensity usually determines our response. But their goal is always the same - perseverance.

In James 2:2-8, James says it this way: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Are you letting the storms in your life have their intended result? The longer you resist, the longer they'll rage on. Cooperating with the Spirit is a good way to calm the seas and shorten the testing of your faith. Not cooperating may make you feel like you're drowning. The choice really is yours. Choose well.

What We Believe!

  • Bible -

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.

  • God -

We believe God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Lostness -

We believe that all people are lost, face the judgment of God, and will find salvation only in Jesus Christ.

  • Jesus -

We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins, died and rose again, is seated at the right hand of the Father as mediator and advocate, and will come again.

  • Sin -

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We find forgiveness for our sins in Jesus alone.

  • Holy Living-

We believe in holy Christian living that results in concern for others.

  • Dedication -

We believe that we must dedicate ourselves anew to the service of our Lord and to His authority over us.

  • Technology -

We believe in using every modern means of communication to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
