Lygia Lovelace: A Testimony

At 9 years old, I realized that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I prayed and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Master, all the days of my life.

As I grew, I learned more and more about what it means to be a follower of Christ. As I learned more, I began to doubt my original salvation experience...after all, if I didn't know then all that I know now, how could I truly have been saved as a 9 year old child? That's when God taught me that life with Him is a relationship-one that ought never to stay the same, but yet ought to deepen in knowledge and wisdom as time goes by.

Through God's awesome love and grace, He saved me in my childish ignorance as a 9 year old. Through His everlasting mercy and wisdom, He continues to "grow me up" in Him, through the trials and joys of my life.

I praise God that He who began a good work in me, will carry it on, to the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
